After Coloring this I have decided that i hate the color orange, which is a shame since it was one of my favorite colors. It just doesn't work well with other colors. It's such a rebel.

I'm probably going to re color this and put a proper background on soon. I just don't like the way the orange looks at all.. Oh yeah..I like how you can't ask for critiques unless you have a subscription... but please critique me on anything except for the colors (which i'm changing anyway). I'm really trying to improve.

Ok so i recolored the whole thing. I changed to a brighter orange and added some yellows. The background is just simple circles since i'm so lazy. I experimented with a couple of different colors but i decided to try and make the orange work. I hope It looks better.

well i have a couple of colors i'm considering. Pale blues, pale greens, Pinks, Creams, and golden yellows. These are all colors that will work well well my brown line art. Orange works well too but it looks to harsh and i don't like it at all. I'll probably experiment a bit more before i decide. Thanks I'm glad you like it Laura!

I love the head tentacles, they almost resemble a crown. I don't really have any problems with it :\ as in critiquing it. Maybe imply the right ear, since it might protrude a bit and been seen a smidgen? Also, maybe add more gills on her sides?

You're totally right. I'll have to add a bit of that ear in when i re-work it. thanks for pointing that out. I will also add more gills in i was just thinking that i needed to do that. Thanks for the help! :hug:

I'm not very good with critiques but i'll do my damned best. I'll try to finish it as soon as possible so people wont have to keep looking at this monstrosity.

try pinks first, that seems like it would end up cool looking but i could be wrong.
of course i like it, its mermaid. if you draw any mermaid i'll love it. expecially the one you drew me that isn't technically a mermaid and is more of an octopus....
